Celebrating Attendance with Husky PRIDE!

At Hudson Elementary, we believe that every school day matters and every student plays an important role in our Husky Pack! This year, we are excited to introduce a new initiative designed to celebrate attendance, encourage student engagement, and strengthen our school community: Surprise Attendance Days!
Beginning in October and continuing through May, Hudson Elementary will hold one Surprise Attendance Day each month. These special days will not be announced in advance, adding an element of excitement and anticipation for our students.
Each student will receive a Husky PRIDE Attendance Card featuring eight spaces, one for each month. Students who are present on a Surprise Attendance Day will earn a sticker to add to their card, working toward collecting all eight stickers by the end of the school year.

Regular school attendance is about more than academics. Each day provides opportunities for students to build meaningful relationships, develop important skills, participate in engaging learning experiences, and strengthen their sense of belonging.
Our Surprise Attendance Days are designed to recognize and celebrate students for showing up and being an important part of our school community.
We understand that absences are sometimes unavoidable, and this initiative is meant to be a positive celebration rather than a competition for perfect attendance.
We kicked off our first Surprise Attendance Day in October, and our Huskies were excited to receive their cards and begin collecting stickers!
We look forward to celebrating attendance throughout the year and continuing to build a school where every student feels connected, valued, and excited to learn.
