At Hudson Elementary, we believe students shouldn't just learn to read—they should learn to love reading!
Through our Accelerated Reader (AR) program, students develop a love for books while strengthening their reading comprehension skills. Each quarter, students work alongside their teachers to set personal reading goals and build the skills, confidence, and perseverance needed to achieve them.
To celebrate our students who met their first-quarter AR goals, our AR Committee, in partnership with our Fuel the Pack Ambassadors and the Hudson Public Library, organized a fun-filled celebration!
Students had the opportunity to participate in an exciting obstacle course, create rubbing art, and enjoy an American-themed snack in recognition of America's 250th anniversary. These activities provided a wonderful opportunity for students to celebrate their accomplishments while having fun and connecting with friends.
At Hudson, our AR celebrations are about more than reaching a reading goal. They are about developing lifelong readers, celebrating perseverance, and creating meaningful experiences that foster friendships and a sense of belonging. We want our students to recognize that hard work pays off, reading can be enjoyable, and accomplishments are even better when celebrated together!
A special thank you to the Hudson Public Library for its continued partnership and support of our students. We also want to recognize our amazing Fuel the Pack Ambassadors, along with their sponsors, Mrs. Graham and Mr. Sampson, for helping make this celebration possible. We are proud of our Huskies for their dedication to reading and can't wait to see what they accomplish in the next quarter!
Keep reading, keep growing, and keep showing your Husky PRIDE!
