I have had the great pleasure of serving as principal at Hudson since 2009. I earned my BS in Education from Colorado Christian University and my MA in Administration and Leadership from the University of Phoenix. Before becoming a principal, I was a High School Science teacher.
Hudson Elementary School serves approximately 300 students in grades Pre-K through 5th grade. Hudson Elementary serves a large geographical area but is the hub of the Hudson community. New classrooms, dedicated music, art and STEM classrooms are just a few of our many assets.
Our staff provide a student centered, integrated and active approach to 21st learning so every student can achieve a full academic and artistic potential. Collegiality and collaborative efforts have led to the continued success of our students as we continued to remain with a Performance rating with the Colorado Department of Education. Our teachers participate in workshops, seminars, in-service days and special training programs to continue the overall improvement of educational preparation for the most effective delivery of instruction to all students.
We want to help students be well- rounded learners in our school, our community, our country, and in our world. As the school year begins, students will need to align their social and learning habits to the Husky PRIDE by having a positive attitude, showing respect, integrity, doing your best every day, and making sure that everyone feels like Hudson is a place they belong. In doing these things, they can develop into productive citizens at home, at school, in the community, and beyond.
